A spokesman of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Jigawa State, confirmed the incident in a press assertion on Monday Could 22.
“A deadly accident occurred yesterday, Sunday, Could 21, at round 5 pm in Babura City, alongside Babura-Gumel Highway, and 4 individuals died on the spot.”
The tragedy reportedly occurred when the driving force of the industrial car, Hamisu Ahmed, travelling to Gumel at excessive pace, hit the victims, who had been on a motorbike on the best way to their village, Kolori.
The victims, recognized as 45-year-old Gambo Mutari, his 25-year-old spouse, Fiddausi Abdullah, his mother-in-law, Hauwa Maigari, and their two-year-old little one, had been rushed to the Babura Basic Hospital and confirmed lifeless.
The deceased have been buried based on Islamic injunctions.
